Aloha,
the last two month were busy with writing, working, writing and having fun while working and writing… and the usual creative deppressions. But I have my friend Stoppel always by my side.
The script is now in a good condition, the story is long, it takes its time to tell and I really like this. But now, because of that Wolfgang is hanging in another project I am not sure what to do with my time. The surfscript is laying down now for a few days. I need something else in my brain and I am doing some design try´s. I like that too, espacially I do not have to sell this and this makes the whole doing completly free. God bless the individuals who can work like that and make money… 
I did a lot of thinking about a possible realisation of the surfmovie. In this stage I can think and imagine everything and this is really kool. I was watching a lot of movies the last month, all kind of films and like for an author reading is a good way to get better, for an filmmaker watching moves is a good way becoming better or even get the idea of becoming better. Its inspiring learning from the work of the good ones and recognizing how many great ways there are to tell stories.
Well, we see what will be the next steps. I will think about the technical ways, so I know in advance whats possible or not producing a feature film in all kind of nature elements. Some other ideas are growing, more or less tv ideas and one stage project which is in a very early stage of mindstorming.
Now its time for closing the eyes, have a great time whatever you are doing and never forget about smile at least once a day…

the first translation into english is done. Please note that it is a rough translation, done for checking historical facts.
It was the first time that I did a translation, it was great for learning a better english, but its a hell of a work and professionell translators deserve lots of respect.
The next days I will read the script and erase mistakes in writing and spelling as well as finding illogical points. I began writing the script last summer, after doing a long research periode in the internet, in libraries and museums. And it makes my personel life richer. When I am talking to others about this part of our planet and tell them about the history, most of them are seeing the south sea not only as an paradise anymore. They get interested whats behind the curtain.
When we feel that this rough version is ready to be readed we will send it out to some friends who are interested in to get lots of feedback. I guess this will be some day next week.
So, I wish all of you a great week, a even better surf and always a smile on your face

good morning, its Sunday, the sky ist partly clouded, temperatures are okay for february, the cats are in the garden for an sunday morning chill session.
Yesterday I was wachting a live tv feed from a Hawai´ian tv station. I am so glad that the Tsunami had no bad effects to the islands, but our thoughts are with all the people in Chile who have to face this catastrophy.
The script translation is going forward. 50 % are done. Well, I know it is only a rough translation, for the final draft we need native speaking Hawai´ians, not just because of the Hawai´ian language, also because of the certain english language over a periode of 14 years. But this will be the next step.
For now its important that the script will be 100 % perfect concerning the historical facts. the story itself, well I am happy with it. Its about family, friendship, proudness, history and of course… Surfing
I guess in one week I am finished, than two more days for checking the script and than we will send it outfor the first proof.

the translation into english is working well. About one third is done.
You know, its really not that easy, even with the help of translation software. Ok, this first version in english will be made to verify the historicals facts and find out if the character of the script is working. If yes, we will take the next step.
Its different forme as an native austrian reading the story in english. It feels different in another language and during the translation I change some which is working fine in german, but not in english. Espacially the mono- and dialogs which poetric character. But for the final draft we will ask an native hawai´ian writer to bring it in an perfect english version.
It is such an wonderful experience. So many positive echo about this idea for an featured film about the history of surfing, Hawai´i and Polynesia, family and friendship.
I hope youre all doing well and have the chance to enjoy life. And I still want to thank everybody who are believing in this film.

Last week after reading the script again, something was not in the rhythm. So I used the last three days to work very concentrated with open mind and finished it yesterday evening. As I wrote before, the prologues is now the end of the story, an 5 minute tribute to the great polynesian history and to give the audience the time feeling like a wave which is ending on a beautiful beach.
And the story ends with an little surprise now.
It feels good and the translation into english is begining next week.

well, the script is actually done.
Wolfgang intensly read the script and he mentioned one thing I was not thinking about and he pointed his reason.
The prologue. Some of you have read the prologue, it summarizes some of the main items of the story in real and animated pictures and after thinking about it I have to confess Wolfgang is right. Its actually not an really problem. The solution could be that I rewrite the prologue and minimize it to the necessary, but this is not what I want.
The plan is now to open the story in the same way, just leaving some secrets open and replace the prologue at the end of the story, which gives the spectator time to reflect the movie and gives him the feeling of an outgoing wave which ends after a very long journey on some beach.
I guess this would be an wonderful end. Watching in a short but sensual way the essence of the history of the watermen.
Soon we will start the translation into english.

Aloha, the last weeks Wolfgang and I did some work to financing life. I am so happy that the the script is close to finish. I think a lot about the structure and feel well about. There are just a few things I am thinking about. I was talking with Wolfgang about the script and his mentions were very usefull. One was that the beginning of the story is telling to much about the historical facts in the beginnning of the movie. One main thought for me is now if the prologue is placed correct. As more I am thinking about it I feel the prologue will be better plced at a calm ending in the movie. While I was reading the story I think that the prologue will also fit the ending of the movie, like an reflection of the telled story. We will see, but I confess I like the story. This story is important for me to tell. I am a native Austrian, very far away from the islands of Hawaii but when I read my script about this part of the world an the history, I feel so close to polynesian history and the humans there. Like IZ said many years ago, I am an Hawaiián in heart, and I want to show with the little I can do this story to all who are interested in surfing, the polynesian way of living and the Hawaiían development and the special perople there, because I am an Hawaiían in heart. I just love all the stories about and I will stay always with this culture, in good times but also in bad times. And the way I can show everything what I feel and think about this waternation is this story, called Experience the breath of life. And I do hope that many people on our planet will think about ancient times and how important all this is for all of us. Because when we forget about our history, what we actually have to tell our children and how we can master our future? Thanks to all of you who are still intersted in this idea, even if it takes time. But this idea is very important for me, better think one day more about it… than one day less… With deep respect and an mahalo from my heart to all my readers… Armin
