Here in Germany we are blessed with public financed public television. Bit is it really the blessing way for the payers and customers?

And is it the best way for film and contentproducers, journalist and documentary filmers?

In this times there is a big chance goin on, but the engine in the business, the broadcasters do not really realizing whats the future in media about. Through the last years its actually impossible for independent tv makers to get an foot into the broadcasters door. Big media companies, big production companies closing actually all doors for people they do not signing the media devils contract and so they have no chance to bring their work into public tv.

Whats going on on this planet in that case? Many independent filmmakers and storytellers are discovering the internet to present their work. And from the first moment on the big companies are trying again to establish an system of the big rulers.

But I think, the way in fiction, non- fiction and espacially free press and journalism is the independent way of telling an story.

Last year we came out with the idea which we are calling “tv with the finger on the map”, which means, give us your movie an we prepare this movie with all relvant links directly to the fabulous idea of Google Earth and Map.

Not using the normal way finding a movie, no., the idea is floating around on the Google Earth layer and watch the movies from all over the world as you like it.

So we presented this idea at the BAKA forum in Basel in January 2009 and this idea combined with an internet film festival for the public tv stations on the EBU TV Summit in May 2009.

First, many so called tv professionells liked this idea and they promised help. But like it is mostly when youre dealing with the big players, they take the idea and copy it very bad.
