What is EUMAGINE?

EUMAGINE is a combination of the syllable eu = you and the word imagine. => eumagine

That means:

Create your own image of our world.

EUMAGINE consists of the the internet video portal “EUMAGINE TV” und the network for film professionals world-wide “EUMAGINE FACTORY”.

eumagine tv

.. is internet television for explorers. Television for people who always enjoyed to travel with the finger on the map. EUMAGINE TV replaces the good old world atlas by Google Earth or Maps and the finger on the map is replaced by the cursor.

In the age of information overload EUMAGINE TV is a tool for users to discover our world on their own way, rather than based on the most compliant contents of the mainstream news and entertainment industry.

EUMAGINE TV does not only supply videos. In addition there are offered context-sensitive links. The video window acts as a launching pad from which to explore regions of the world and establish direct contacts with the local people and film professionals.

Among others the program priorities are: Human Rights, Investigative journalism, science and environment, education, history, culture and art. Currently EUMAGINE TV creates a map presenting independent filmmakers world-wide.

Ideas for new ‘maps’ are welcome: How about channels for film boards, film schools and universities, studios, equipment rentals, festivals, musicians, music, movies, and …

Unlike other video portals all videos are selected and accompanied by editors. Among other things this is managed by the crew and members of EUMAGINE FACTORY.

eumagine factory

… is an international network for screenwriters, filmmakers, musicians, producers and television editors.

The mission is to construct creative and productive bridges between people from various cultures and continents.

The Web 2.0 offers the unique chance for exchange and cooperation between filmmakers and their audience world-wide. A constant ‘come together’ of people who would never have met otherwise.

The main tasks of EUMAGINE FACTORY are:

The extent of the filmmakers base on TWITTER grew on almost to 2000 ‘followers’ within the last 12 weeks.

Who’s behind?

Wolfgang Junghans – after studying at the Academy of Television and Film in Munich, Wolfgang worked as a cutter, sound recordist, location and production manager. In 1987 he founded the JUNGHANS MEDIA PRODUCTION, focusing on image films and television infotainment. One of the most important productions was the award wining TV magazine “HOW MUCH? The Business Show” hosted by Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt. Wolfgang worked as screenwriter, director and producer of numerous documentaries, commercials, teasers, showreels and developed various formats.

Armin Kraft – For more than 10 years Armin worked as an assistant director and producer in the (speech) and musical theater as well as light and laser show designer for musicals and show productions. Since 15 years he is active as an producer, executive producer, writer and director in film and television.

Pierre Mathias (German Television / European Broadcast Union) – As a volunteer consultant Pierre is engaged to establish contacts between independent filmmakers and the public service broadcasters.

The Mission

… is the continuous expansion and modernization of the websites and a steady improvement in the quality of editorial content in order to increase the memberships and user loyalty.

Financial affairs

The success of a web portal demands an excellent customer service, including weekends. The time zones play a significant role and require shift and night work. EUMAGINE TV & FACTORY are associated with significant technical and editorial expenses.

Previous efforts to generate revenue from subtle contextual ‘Ads by Google’ have not worked so far. Currently we are testing so-called ‘AFFILIATE’ models.

Basically we are looking for other solutions e.g. a general sponsor, who could reach his specific target group via EUMAGINE TV & FACTORY without scattering losses.

As we continue to stand by our high quality standards, a chartering of the page with any flashing advertising messages shall not be an acceptable solution.
